Celia Garbutt Artists Statement
The rhythms of the seasons, the changing light, the midsummer to midwinter movement of the sun along the hills and phases of the moon reflected in the loch beside my home are celebrated in my work. I look to the mystery of ancient and renaissance art for inspiration.
I use colour expressively and I aim for a balance of colour and form to give clarity to the narrative of the finished piece,
